Cat-themed meme coins are leading crypto market losses with double-digit figures recorded today. While the wider market sentiment plunged leading to losses and slight liquidation, investors appear to sell some of their meme tokens. The status quo can be viewed with the market cap plunged from Bitcoin to altcoins. The total market cap is down 2.55% to $2.42 trillion while trading volumes decreased 16%.
Meme coins also recorded a declining market cap of 1.6% with a total figure of $57.2 billion. Although some assets recorded bull run inflows trading against the market, cat-themed meme coins plunged to lows not recorded since the rebound. This category of meme coins saw losses totaling 5.5% today causing a drop in its market cap to $1.95 billion. Here are the top cat-themed meme coins recording huge losses today.
Cat in a dogs world (MEW)
MEW is down 11.6% in the last 24 hours taking weekly figures into the doldrums. The last seven days have shown 10.9% outflows as meme coins continue a downward trajectory. MEW has a more positive long-term trend highlighting present corrections.
The asset’s total market capitalization fell to $347 million with trading volumes above $81.3 million. Despite trading behind its previous highs, users opine a rebound when sentiments flip.
Mog Coin (MOG)
The once surging asset has plummeted 11.3% today and a larger 34% this week. Weekly losses soar as investors move out funds from risky assets alongside other industry factors. MOG price continues to plunge driving sell offs although its community looks towards a rebound as seen in previous months. The market cap stands at $331 million while daily trading volumes surpassed $30.9 million.
Popcat (POPCAT)
Popcat is the third cat-themed meme coin by masher capitalization with several investors offloading the asset from their portfolios. Popcat is down 7.2% increasing seven-day numbers by 32.6%. Unlike other assets, its monthly figures are still in the red zone taking the asset deep into the woods. Popcat’s market cap hovers at $247.7 million as the bearish outlook bites harder.
