The fire of a Tweet

These quotes arose from a tweet by David Bailey, CEO of Bitcoin Magazine and the Bitcoin conference organizer. He posted this tweet after it was confirmed that Harris would not be attending the Bitcoin conference at Nashville. People started quoting his tweets and adding their own perspective to it. In his tweet David wrote “ I’m sorry, but you don’t get to just screw our industry over for 4 years, push operation choke point, enlist Gensler and Warren as your Champions, and then just pretend you’re hip with Bitcoin. Major democrat donor told me Kamala says privately “Bitcoin is money for criminals”

He did not reveal the name of the person who told him this. There is no verified source available online that can validate this statement. Some people even believe David got angry with Kamala because she is not coming to the Bitcoin conference and spilled his frustration in the form of this tweet.

Stance of Democratic potential candidates

Almost every Democrat potential candidate is well informed about the crypto industry and at some point they have mentioned it. Kamala Harris is one of the candidates along with Michelle Obama who have never talked on this subject. Other candidates Like Gavin Newsom, J.B Pritzkar and Pete Buttigieg have been very vocal about Bitcoin and even shared support for it.

The Market impact

As this quote started to surface on twitter, a lot of big twitter accounts started posting about it without any research. The bitcoin is already in bearish mode and this trend caused the rising btc to plummet again. BTC went down by 1.20% after this quote started to trend.

Currently Bitcoin is trading at $65,678 and trying to resist the bears. Yesterday Bitcoin succeeded in rising back to $67,000 however got rejected and came back to the old support zone.
