El Salvador publicly shares its Bitcoin holdings via a newly launched mempool, showcasing 5,748.76 BTC valued at over $352.8 million. The Bitcoin Office, managing the country’s BTC projects, announced the initiative on May 12. The additional purchase of 31 BTC in the previous month as a part of President Nayib Bukele’s Dollar Cost Averaging Strategy is also revealed by mempool. The move, welcomed by the crypto community, sheds light on the transparency in El Salvador’s BTC investments in spite of a modest rate of local adoption, dropping from 24.4% to 12%.
