Franklin Templeton has declared that ‘Its Base Season’ comes amid growing activity on the low-cost Ethereum L2 Solution. The base was built to scale Coinbase’s on-chain user base by making faster transactions. The L2 solution remains a key value addition for the trading platform. The Base TVL jumped $166 million between May 1st and May 9th, depicting growing user confidence, participation, and increased liquidity. SocialFi apps such as Friend.tech have also contributed to its popularity.  The report shows that Base conducts 46% of social-fi transactions on-chain, more than BNB Chain and Polygon.
