The “AI for All” program commenced with 500 civil servants, focusing on practical AI applications to improve problem-solving and increase efficiency. The initiative is part of Google’s AI Skilling program, which was announced at the Delphi Economic Forum and will cover all public services by September.
Greece public servants begin intensive AI training program
The AI training sessions are designed to offer hands-on experience and cover different artificial intelligence applications like decision-making, leadership, and operational efficiency. These workshops are intended to give civil workers the ability to simplify bureaucratic processes and enhance service delivery. Workers are expected to deal with complicated duties faster and provide improved services for citizens by incorporating AI into their work systems.
To ensure that government officials can use what they have learned immediately, the training sessions are designed around real-world applications of artificial intelligence. Subjects covered in these courses revolve around using AI for data analysis, automation of repetitive jobs and enhancing decision-making. Public officers who gain such competencies can save a lot of time and resources on administrative duties thus creating room for more concentration on strategic projects and citizen services delivery.

Improving the ability of public sector workers to solve problems is a central aim of this training. Artificial intelligence can assist with this by offering useful suggestions and predictions that aid in tackling difficult problems faster. AI could, for example, go through huge volumes of data to find trends and patterns that would be hard or impossible to spot with human eyes. As a result, decisions will be made based on more thorough information leading to improved policy-making.
Greece moves towards a more contemporary public administration
Another thing that is very important about the training program is improving leadership in the public sector. Through this, leaders are taught how they can make good use of AI to enhance creativity and efficiency among their team members. For example, they should be able to know what it means ethically when dealing with artificial intelligence, how to run such projects and also ways of nurturing innovative culture in their organizations. The main idea behind this initiative is to equip government officials with these skills to foster dynamism in public service provision.
By September when the system broadens to cover all public services, the reach of AI training will increase dramatically. The long-term objective is to develop a government workforce that is not just efficient and effective but also sensitive to citizen demands. In adopting AI as well as digital technology, Greece is actively moving towards establishing a more contemporary and competent public administration.
