Two Chinese nationals and an Argentine citizen were detained on March 8 over a crypto investment scam in Argentina. A supermarket was used as a facade for an illegal crypto mining farm, seizing dozens of graphic cards. Fernando Barbatelli, the Argentine citizen used the identity of another citizen to offer a crypto investment opportunity. He convinced the Chilean national to be a crypto investor and an old friend and got 20 BTC deposited. The funds came to the wallet of one of the Chinese nationals detained. Binance and Lemon supported the crackdown and offered the information required.
