Tada’s New Telegram Mini App Lets Singapore Users Pay with Toncoin and USDT

  • Tada’s new Telegram Mini App allows Singapore users to book rides and pay with Toncoin or USDT, enhancing crypto payment options.
  • Tada partners with TON, offering 4,000 free and discounted rides to promote its new Telegram Mini App during Token2049 in Singapore.
  • The integration of Tada’s ride-hailing with TON blockchain and Telegram boosts Web3 adoption and sets a new standard for crypto payments.

Tada and the TON Foundation have announced their alliance. Customers in Singapore will be able to use the Telegram Mini App to book and pay for rides using bitcoins thanks to this cooperation. Telegram’s Mini App offers a convenient way to quickly access ride-hailing services without the need for extra downloads. It seamlessly works with Telegram.

Tada’s Expansion and Crypto Payment Integration

The operational sites of Tada, a firm created in 2018, are Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam. Popular for cutting expenses and benefiting both drivers and passengers, the company has a zero-commission policy.

By the end of 2024, Tada plans to operate a store in Hong Kong. Tada users can now utilize this new link to pay for their trip expenses with either Toncoin (TON) or Tether (USDT), as both are based on the TON blockchain.

The reason for this cooperation is that Tether brought USDT to the TON network. Present for the announcement, which took place at the Token2049 conference in Dubai, was Pavel Durov, CEO of Tether and Telegram. Tether and the TON Foundation are proud of the incorporation of USDT into the TON blockchain.

In anticipation of the Token2049 event in Singapore, the partnership is promoting the collaboration by offering 4,000 free and discounted rides. Harvey Kim, head of Korea at the TON Foundation, revealed that attendees will benefit from these offers through the Telegram Mini App. This app not only simplifies the booking process but also facilitates payments with Toncoin and USDT.

Future Prospects and Innovations

Moreover, Kim highlighted the importance of this move for Web3 adoption. He stated, “To accelerate the adoption of Web3 solutions, it’s crucial to form strong partnerships with Web2 platforms.” By integrating ride-hailing services, social media, and cryptocurrency payments, this collaboration introduces practical applications for digital assets.

James Yang, CIO of MVL, Tada’s parent company, praised the innovation. He mentioned that Tada mini aims to prepare for the future by incorporating digital assets into real-world applications. As Tada plans to expand further, the partnership with TON is expected to enhance user experience and drive greater adoption of cryptocurrency payments.
