The Thumzup app currently rewards users in cash for sharing advertiser content online. With Dogecoin integration, Thumzup aims to simplify international payments. The company also seeks to cut transaction fees and reduce payout delays.
Executives say Dogecoin’s structure supports small, fast, and low-cost transactions. This aligns with the app’s pay-per-post reward system. The plan is to offer DOGE as an additional payout option, not a replacement.
Focus on Cross-Border Creator Rewards
The inclusion of Dogecoin can be helpful to people struggling with the conventional banking system. Crypto payments can provide faster and cheaper access to income to international influencers. Thumzup can also use the feature to tap into new markets and gain more users.

Thumzup’s Broader Digital Asset Strategy
Thumzup’s crypto expansion began earlier this year. The company explored diversifying its digital treasury into DOGE, Solana, and XRP. In July, Thumzup raised $50 million for crypto acquisitions.
It agreed to acquire Dogehash, a Dogecoin mining firm, through an all-stock deal. Before closing the deal, Thumzup issued a $2.5 million loan to Dogehash in September. The funds helped accelerate upgrades to the mining operation.
Thumzup stock dropped over 5% to $5.00 following the announcement. Despite the dip, the stock is up 46% year-to-date. The company recently approved a $10 million buyback program set to run through 2026.
