A whale known as “0xfc0” recently performed significant activity in the DeFi space, reserving a profit of $1.81 million from AAVE transactions. Between August 23 and November 27, 2024, the whale earned a total of 43,885 AAVE tokens, investing approximately $6.4 million at a moderate price of $145.9 per token. The whale then staked these tokens on the Aave platform to gain rewards.
Profitable Exit on Binance
According to the Spot On Chain post on X, the whale initiated the unstaking and withdrawal process from Aave and then deposited 44,765 AAVE to Binance. The whale sold the tokens at $183.27; they achieved a $1.81 million profit, which is about a 28% in the percentage of increase. They were able to sell them at that time at a fair value of $8.2 million.
While the whale earned a substantial profit, they missed out on potentially larger gains. Had the whale sold their AAVE holdings in December 2024, they could have made $10.9 million from the same amount of tokens. This difference of $2.7 million underscores the volatile nature of the crypto market and the timing of market movements.
